Furniture Refinishing
Furniture Reupholstery
Reupholstery does more than repair worn furnishings. It allows you to change colors and textures and revitalize the look of your entire office. We completely remove the old coverings from your chairs, sofas, or partitions and inspect the frame, springs, webbing, and padding for defects. Wood chair frames can be reconditioned and re-stained if need be. We apply the new upholstery fabric, which you either provide or select from our samples. Only when we certify that your piece has met all our high standards, do we approve it for shipment.NJ Office Furniture Depot can handcraft a final product with all the feel and appearance of new furniture for substantially less than the cost of new.
Electrostatic Painting
Specially formulated polyurethane enamel paint
We use a specially formulated Polyurethane Enamel paint that is mixed with a catalyst and given a positive charge by a transformer. The electrostatic paint process is based on the mutual attraction of opposite electrical charges. By charging furniture with negative electrons and paint with positive electrons, sprayed paint adheres directly, smoothly, and evenly to prepared surfaces.
The process begins
The process begins with us thoroughly cleaning your furniture with commercial solvents, removing all foreign matter. We then clean and mask aluminum, chrome, or stainless steel handles, locks, and trim. We can paint your metal furniture “in place” with no damage to carpeting, walls, or nearby furniture. Once applied, the paint dries to a smooth, hard, durable finish in just a few hours.
This quality finish
This quality finish and a wide array of available colors can give new life to any metal surface in your office. Desks, chairs, cabinets, files, shelving, partitions, and many other items can all be refinished at a fraction of the cost of new furniture.
The Electrostatic Painting process
The Electrostatic Painting process is perfect for on-site painting of metal items such as those listed above. Due to the unique application process, adjacent surfaces are safe from overspray. Because the paint is magnetically drawn to the surface to be painted, items such as railings can be painted from one side, and the paint will wrap around to the other side.
The extremely strong odors
Due to the extremely strong odors produced during the painting process, indoor work must be produced after business hours or on weekends when no other personnel are present. For multiple-tenant buildings, it is necessary to gain permission from the Property Manager to ensure adjacent tenants will not be present during the painting process. If on-site painting is not logistically possible, we can pick up your furniture items and paint them at our facility.
